  • It’s raining. And cold. So much for the lingering summer I thought was in store.
Well, it’s Homecoming weekend, but because of this silly rain and this chilly weather, I’m not quite sure what’s going on with Powderpuff. I am not too keen on playing outdoors, especially because I already have a runny nose and a slight cough, and the rain has made the grass slippery. And I’m already rather clumsy on flat, dry surfaces as it is. If it isn’t canceled, I think I might go just to watch, even though I know the coaches will see me. Oh well.
Other than that, it’s been a little boring. A lot boring. But, it’s not a big deal. I kind of like having nothing to do. It gives me more time to do things I wouldn’t otherwise have time to do. I’ve been drawing a lot more and it’s fun. I quite like it. And I’m glad I can do it.
I get to go home on Halloween. I wasn’t sure if it was going to work, but it seems that it will and now I am counting down the days. Again. Going home is nice after being away for so long. And this is the longest I’ve gone without seeing him. I still miss him a lot, but it’s not debilitating like it was in August and September. The distance doesn’t seem so bad anymore.
Writing letters has made it easier to keep in touch with people. Mostly my family. None of my friends really write, except for one. Even though one has promised, I have yet to hear from her. I guess it really doesn’t matter though, because I get letters from others. And his letters are the best, anyway. I save all of them in my top drawer.
I do kind of wish this rain would let up. Then, I could pass the time reading outside.
